Rep Cubs teams wrapup their Seasons

Participate in Baseball Ontario Championships

On the weekends of August 26/27/29 (Midget) and Labour Day Sept 2/3/4 (all other teams) 2016, various Rep teams from the Kanata Baseball Association wrapped up their seasons by participating in the season ending Baseball Ontario Championships held in various locations. These 12 team double elimination tournaments, hosted the best teams from each of the 12 regions of the province that participate.

Congratulations to all the teams!

Kanata Cubs Midget – participated in the ‘Select’ division championships at Birchmount (Scarborough), and made it to the 3rd round of the tournament. Fridays game saw a close 5-4 loss to Host Birchmount; Saturday saw a 7-0 victory over Weston; followed by a 9-2 loss to Ajax. Over the course of the season the team played 45 games and had 24 practices.

Kanata Cubs Major Peewee – participated in the Rep ‘A’ division championships at Richmond Hill, and made it to the 3rd round of the tournament. Fridays game saw a 14-4 loss to the Mississauga North Tigers; Saturday saw an 18-11 victory over East York, and a 9-2 loss to Niagara Falls.Over the course of the season the team played 41 games and had 31 practices

Kanata Cubs Minor Bantam – participated in the Rep ‘A’ division championship at Thornhill. Results to come.Over the course of the season the team played 41 games and had 45 practices. 

Kanata Cubs Major Bantam –  participated in the Rep ‘A’ division championship at Guelph and made it to the 2nd round of the tournament. Fridays game saw a loss to Guelph #2 team, and Saturday saw a loss to Guelph #1.Over the course of the season the team played 38 games and had over 40 practices. 

Kanata Cubs Major Mosquito – participated in the Rep "AA" division championships in Burlington. Both Friday's and Saturday's games saw hard fought games against teams rated "AAA" in their regular seasons. Friday's game ended with a 10-4 loss to London West while Saturday's battle was a more lop-sided loss to Guelph (who eventually lost to the tournament winning Aurora Jays). Over the course of the season the team played 41 games and had 31 practices 

Kanata Cubs Minor Mosquito – participated in the Rep ‘A’ division championships at London, Ontario, and made it to the 2nd round of the tournament. Fridays game saw a 13-12 loss to East York, and Saturdays game saw a 23-12 loss to Peterborough. Over the course of the season the team had 31 games with 45 practices.
