Welcome to the 2018 Baseball Season!

Updated Monday January 1, 2018 by Kanata Baseball Association.

This year promises to be a year unlike any other for youth baseball in our region with the establishment of our very own training facility, the Kanata Cubhouse.  We expect all our players and coaches to benefit from using the facility which provides the skill specific instruction that is so important in baseball.  We are also running our Winter Skills sessions at the Sensplex for general training as well at  A. Lorne Cassidy for our youngest players.  We also have indoor sessions just for Girls which extends form the immensely successful one day Girls Clinic we held in October.  Rep team tryouts will also be held at the Cubhouse which start January 7th/8th.

Our programs are designed to be accommodating for any experience level so there is something for everyone regardless of age or present ability.  There is still space in all programs, but some sessions have already filled up!  Don't miss out on this unique opportunity.  We are completely unique to have this breadth of programs being offered right in our own back yard and under our own Association.  Help make this an extra special year for your players by getting them into an indoor training program!

We look forward to this new year with excitement!  Registration for Spring/Summer programs will open in January and include the following top level programs:
- Little League
- Baseball Ontario
- Challenger
- Rally Cap
- Girls

The Open Cubhouse held last week had about 150 people drop by to see the new facility.  Here are a few of the frequently asked Cubhouse questions.

Q: Are there "Drop In" times?
A: Our focus is on individual training programs and team training so we don't have general drop in times.  However, if you are registered in a program then it is possible to get some extra time in during another session.

Q: If I miss a session can I come to another one?
A: Absolutely!  We understand busy schedules, if you miss some of your regularly scheduled session you can come at another session of the same program make it up.

Q: Can I register in more than one program?
A: Yes.  We are taking an "a la carte" approach so a individualized program can be built around your player and schedule.  Some players may want to take two 6 week sessions back to back, or to take two different types of sessions at the same time, like Hitting and catching.  Its all good.

Q: Can I book the clubhouse for some extra indoor time over the winter?
A: Yes!  In order to book, an adult must have an NCCP number and have been through a safety orientation.  Cost is $100 an hour and there are several timeslots available.  This is what renting Sambat cost us but the Cubhouse is way bigger!
