The Scott Tokessy Memorial Gold Glove Tournament was established in 1996
in memory of Scott, a twelve year-old boy who died suddenly of an
irregular heartbeat, after hitting a home run for his house league team,
in May of that year. This year's tournament, our 16th, will be held July
29 - July 31, 2011 in Kanata, Ontario.
During the past fifteen years, this charity event, where the
proceeds are donated to the Cardiology Department of the Children’s Hospital
of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), has developed into one of the premier Little
League Baseball Tournaments in the Province of Ontario and is considered to
be Canada’s Largest Little League Baseball Tournament for Charity.
Last year's tournament
attracted 44 teams and involved over 800 participants including players and
coaches. With generous corporate support, we were able to raise
$20,000.00 in 2010, bringing the total donation to CHEO to
$242,000.00 since the tournament’s inception.
In organizing such a tournament, we are seeking Corporate
