Time varies, 2 weeknights per week. There have historically been 3-6 teams of 10-12 players in each of these age groups. “Games” are played at Diamonds located near the Kanata Recreation Complex – at Kinsman Lower and Upper, located on the south side of the KRC. Games are generally Monday through Thursday nights, 2 x per week, and will not be on consistent nights of the week. Rainouts will be rescheduled, sometimes on weekends, and there are lights available at the diamonds so games could start and end later.
Junior introduces larger field dimensions, including 70’ basepaths and 54’ pitching mound, and heavier bats, Senior and Big League increase field dimensions to 90’ basepaths and 60’ pitching mound. Big League and Senior plays a full “interlock” schedule throughout the city, and Junior usually interlocks with other teams from District 2.
Equipment
Players require baseball shoes, baseball pants, a baseball glove a batting helmet, and a jock or jill. Baseballs, bats and other appropriate equipment is supplied by the league, including at Team Jersey which is the property of the league and must be returned at the end of the season.
